USCIS.

or required to respond, as well as a brief
abstract: Primary: Individuals or
households. Form N–400, Application
for Naturalization, allows USCIS to
fulfill its mission of fairly adjudicating
naturalization applications and only
naturalizing statutorily eligible
individuals. Naturalization is the
process by which U.S. citizenship is
granted to a foreign citizen or national
after he or she fulfills the requirements
established by Congress in the INA.
(5) An estimate of the total number of
respondents and the amount of time
estimated for an average respondent to
respond: The estimated total number of
respondents for the information
collection N–400 (paper) is 567,314 and
the estimated hour burden per response
is 9.17 hours; the estimated total
number of respondents for the
information collection N–400
