JUSTIFICATION FOR A NONMATERIAL/NONSUBSTANTIVE CHANGE
OGE FORM 201 REQUEST TO INSPECT OR RECEIVE COPIES OF EXECUTIVE BRANCH
PERSONNEL PUBLIC FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REPORTS OR OTHER COVERED RECORDS
AUGUST 2020
OGE currently has approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act for two versions
of the OGE Form 201 Request to Inspect or Receive Copies of Executive Branch
Personnel Public Financial Disclosure Reports or Other Covered Records, a pdf version
and an electronic application. OGE is requesting a nonmaterial/nonsubstantive change to
the electronic application. The purpose of the changes is to better adhere to the U.S. Web
Design Guidelines and make the page more user friendly.
Specifically, OGE proposes to change the name of the form to plain English:
“Request an Individual’s Ethics Documents.” OGE also proposes to provide more
detailed instructions and reorganize answers to frequently asked questions to make the
web page more user friendly. OGE is not changing any existing practices regarding the
information collection. A pdf version of the current interface is provided as a
supplementary document for comparison.
