The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP) requests a three-year approval for a new information collection titled “Assessment of the Be Antibiotics Aware Consumer and Healthcare Professional Campaign.” This one-time data collection will assess the reach and appeal of the Be Antibiotics Aware (BAA) campaign messaging and partner outreach in select markets and examine differences in antibiotic knowledge, awareness, beliefs, and behavioral intentions among consumer and healthcare professional (HCP) audiences who have and have not been exposed to the BAA messaging. The data collection activities proposed in this new information collection request will allow CDC to capture critical information needed to inform the refinement and implementation of the BAA campaign (materials and tactics).
