Abstract: This voluntary information collection (Form EOIR-31A) will allow an organization to seek accreditation for a non-attorney representative to appear before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and/or the Department of Homeland Security. The Form EOIR-31A will elicit, in a uniform manner all of the required information for EOIR to determine whether a proposed representative meets the eligibility requirements for accreditation. There is no other form for accreditation.

Short Statement: The agency received less applications, resulting in a decrease in responses. The agency changed the time required of each application to the average amount of time across the number of initial applications that require 2 hours to complete and renewal applications that require 7 hours to complete. The agency also corrected a typo in the annual cost burden, which should have been zero, as there is no cost to apply for accreditation.
