Abstract: The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) requests a new clearance for the IMLS CARES Act Grants for Museums and Libraries grant program for its grant program processes under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The information collections in this package include one Notice of Funding Opportunity and instructions necessary to apply for IMLS support as part of the agency’s CARES Act grant programs.

Emergency Justfication: The goal of this grant program was to assist museums and libraries in responding to the coronavirus pandemic in ways that met the immediate and future COVID-19 needs of the communities they served. We received emergency clearance, and because the funding cycle is closed and we are no longer accepting applications for this grant program, we wish now to reinstate the clearance so that we can properly request that the control number be discontinued.
