Abstract: The CMS-1957 is issued to facilitate communications among the Social Security District Offices, Medicaid State Agencies and CMS Central Office in the resolution of beneficiary entitlement under State Buy-in. It's used when a problem arises which cannot be resolved through the normal data exchange.

Short Statement: There are no program changes; however, the number of respondents decreased since the last time this information collection was submitted for OMB approval. The burden hours decreased from 1951.14 hours to 466.62 hours due to the decrease in the number of beneficiaries from 5,854 to 1,400.
