Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) Annual Data Collection Form
(60-day Comment Period)
This attachment contains a specific topic for which the U.S. Department of Education (Department) would like to obtain input from data submitters and stakeholders. Please note that in addition to these specific questions, public comments are encouraged on all parts of the Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) program Annual Data Collection Form.
1. Overall, what data in this form will be difficult to compile and/or report on and why? What are the overall challenges to reporting these data on an annual basis? Are there changes that could be made to improve the quality of the data and/or reduce the burden for respondents?
2. What additional data should the Department collect to help further its understanding of the overall impact of EANS funding under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act (CRRSA) and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act?
3. To help provide the Department with a complete picture of the status of EANS funds and better understand the rate at which funds are being used to provide services or assistance to non-public schools that enroll a significant percentage of low-income students and are most impacted by the qualifying emergency, the Department seeks to collect obligation (financial commitments) data from State respondents. Does the State anticipate any challenges to reporting these data to the Department?
