Abstract: To assess States' needs for technical assistance, FNS seeks to understand how States determine exemptions from work requirements or good cause for not meeting work requirements due to a physical or mental limitation. FNS proposes surveying all 53 State SNAP agencies and conducting in-depth case studies in four States which involve in-person site visits and administrative data analysis.
