Thank you for your interest in welcoming a refugee through the Welcome Corps!

Ready to apply? Use the form below to submit your application. Completing your application typically takes 45 minutes to one hour.  Prior to beginning the application, it is recommended to gather all information and materials needed, including your completed Welcome Plan, signed Private Sponsor Group Commitment Forms from each member of your group, Welcome Corps Essentials Training certificate for at least one member of your group, and evidence of sufficient fundraising. Please note: Your data will not be saved if you navigate away from this page. It is recommended to gather all information and materials needed prior to beginning the application. After two hours of inactivity, the application will refresh, and all progress will be lost.

The information and materials you provide below will be used in reviewing and certifying your sponsor group, matching your group with refugee newcomers, and for program evaluation and improvement. Please note that demographic information provided below will not affect your sponsor group’s eligibility for the Welcome Corps or Private Sponsor Group certification.

Preferred Airport for Refugee Newcomer Arrival

Please list your preferred major airport for the refugee arrival and 1-2 alternative airports if relevant. Direct flights are preferred for refugees’ travel; please take into consideration airports that are likely able to accommodate direct flights from other airports. Note: The International Organization for Migration (IOM) lends refugees an interest free travel loan to get to the United States. Refugees are required to sign a promissory note of repayment prior to entering the US.

* Private Sponsor Groups must raise a minimum of 60% of the total $2375 required for each refugee. Please upload evidence of sufficient funds raised to meet this requirement, such as a screenshot of a bank account balance, GoFundMe page, or other documentation that clearly demonstrates sufficient funds. Do not include bank account numbers and please redact any private or personal information.
