Abstract: DFARS clause 252.244-7001 requires the contractor to respond within 30 days to the administrative contracting officer’s initial determination of a contractor purchasing system deficiency. The administrative contracting officer, in turn, evaluates the contractor’s response and issues a final determination either approving or disapproving the contractor’s system. If the administrative contracting officer disapproves the contractor’s system, the contractor has 45 days to either correct the significant deficiencies or submit an acceptable corrective action plan.
