process, focusing on user research and testing. A big thank you to all of our
volunteers who answered the call to provide input, feedback, and testing. Your
feedback here will help us identify and prioritize future enhancements we will make
in the coming years to meet your needs.
We are sharing a sneak preview of the new National Archives Catalog. For more

The new Catalog focuses on scalability and is a new platform for the future. In the
next few years we will grow to 500 million digitized pages; new back-end
enhancements will ensure an improved search experience for you as we grow. Our
new Catalog makes it easier and more intuitive for you to find what you are looking
for, and potentially discover related content of interest.

We are introducing new features including improved digital image viewing, the customer experience for
contributors, enhanced full description view, new optical character recognition, a new underlying search tool, and a
rebuilt application programming interface (API).
