Abstract: The IC implements proposed 29 CFR 29.27 (Recognition of State Apprenticeship Agencies) which will standardize and refine the process for recognizing SAAs by requiring the submission of a State Apprenticeship Plan for all States seeking initial or continued recognition as an SAA. The contents of the SAP, outlining elements that a State must address and documentation that a State must submit, will allow OA to assess the fitness of a State to meet all the requirements of an SAA, which includes all responsibilities and requirements outlined in proposed 29 CFR 29.26, 29 CFR 29.27, and 29 CFR 29.29.
