Abstract: The proposed regulation would allow automatic portability providers to receive fees and compensation for services provided in connection with an automatic portability transaction that would otherwise violate the prohibited transaction provisions of the Code. The proposed regulation would affect participants of Default IRAs established from a mandatory distribution.
