Short Statement: This request for renewal reflects an increase of 60,905 respondents, 61,304 responses, and 137,817 hours of burden over the previous submission. The estimate adjustments are the result of fluctuations in trade for live animal commodities. There are two discretionary changes. VS dropped use of the VS Form 17-11 (Application for Approval of Quarantine Facilities and Request for Transfer of Operations to Another Facility for Birds or Poultry) and added use of the VS Form 17-33 (Animals Imported for Immediate Slaughter).
