The helicopter air ambulance
operational data (the number of flights and hours flown, along with
other specified information) reported to the FAA will be used by
the agency as background information in the development of risk
mitigation strategies to reduce the helicopter air ambulance
accident rate, and to meet the mandates set by Congress. This
reporting requirement is mandatory for All helicopter air ambulance
operators on an annual basis.
The number of small and large
operators was adjusted to 2023 levels. The wage rates for both
Administrative Assistants and Aviation Safety Inspectors in
questions 12 and 14 were updated.
