Other change: This submission includes a series of non-substantive changes to the advance letter to be administered as part of the Survey of Market Absorption. The proposed content changes to the advance letter have been made to 1) address the Census Regional Office needs to include an action statement in the first paragraph for the respondent to call the Field Representative; 2) update the wording to align with the latest Census Bureau guidance; and 3) include more detailed information about what information a respondent needs to provide and be prepared to answer.

This letter also includes a series of “frequently asked questions” on the back of the letter. We do not anticipate these revisions to affect respondents’ burden or the cost burden for collecting the respondents’ data. Please see the clean and redlined versions of the letter for details on the proposed changes to the advance letter. Please note that we are also including a clean version of the form letter because these advance letters will be specific to the Regional Office using them.
