H.4. Survey Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the survey take?

The SNAP Work Requirements and Employment and Training (E&T) Data Study survey will take approximately 75 minutes to complete.

What kinds of questions will the survey ask? Do I need to prepare anything?

The survey includes questions about your agency’s decisions about hiring and training, work requirements, SNAP E&T policies and procedures, and the kinds of data collected and analyzed in your eligibility and SNAP E&T systems. While you do not need to prepare anything before you complete the survey, you may need input from other staff in your State agency to complete the survey. For example, you may need to engage staff familiar with the data systems your agency uses and interacts with to answer some survey questions.

Who is being asked to participate in the survey?

All 53 SNAP State agencies are asked to participate.

Do I have to participate?

Participation is voluntary, but it is important that all SNAP State agencies participate to provide accurate and complete information about measures and data FNS could use to better understand equity in the administration of work requirements in SNAP, including access to and administration of SNAP E&T services.

Who will see my responses?

Your responses will be kept private. Only researchers on the study team will have access to your responses. Individual respondents will not be named in the report.
