Abstract: In the event an employee is injured while operating a mechanical power press, 29 CFR 1910.217(g) requires an employer to provide information to OSHA regarding the accident. This information includes the employer's and employee's name, the type of clutch, the type of safeguard(s) used, the cause of the accident, the means to actuate the press stroke, and the number of operators involved.

Short Statement: The Agency is requesting an adjustment decrease in the number of burden hours from 390 to 320, a total reduction of 70 burden hours because there is a decrease in the estimated number of injury reports caused by mechanical power presses (from 1,170 to 960). In the previous ICR, there was an error in the total number of responses reported (1,170). The total responses reported should have been 2,340 responses.
