This voluntary information collection request would give the opportunity for transportation pooled fund participants to provide award nomination information. The collection is done through a nomination form submitted voluntarily by the participant every two years. Information reported would include TPF study information and how the research or innovation has advanced transportation. The purpose of the collection is to highlight the importance of meaningful collaboration and partnership in transportation research. Administered through a partnership between FHWA and the AASHTO RAC, the biennial TPF Excellence Award will recognize one FHWA-led TPF study and one State department of transportation (DOT)-led study. Nominations would be received between August and end of September every 2 yr. Nomination forms would be sent to FHWA Division Offices and State DOTs to solicit nominees.
