The Department of Education (ED) is requesting a Simple Change to the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) State Enrollment Form only. ED would like to permit state higher education agencies to share students’ FAFSA
Filing Status data with ED grantees, tribal organizations, and college access organizations so that those organizations can assist in FAFSA completion efforts and to allow the state agencies to outreach to their students
about means-tested benefits. This is being done to encourage as many students as possible to submit a FAFSA. The changes that are being requested are a contract modification of the SAIG State Enrollment Form and no
new data is being collected, there is no change in the time for completion of the document due to the addition of new language. See the attached documents for full requested changes.
