In 1997 the Commission adopted rules
providing support for the Universal Service Schools and Libraries
Support Mechanism (E-rate Program). FCC Forms 470 and 471 are
required to describe the services requested and ordered by schools
and libraries under the program.
The Commission is reporting an
adjustment to the number of respondents, total annual responses,
and the total annual hours requested within this submission. The
total annual hours requested for the requirements contained herein
is now 236,890, which is a decrease of -37,060 total annual hours
requested. The number of respondents decreased to 25,000 and the
number of responses increased to +16,460. The adjustment is due to
updated information based on actual USAC FY 2023 submission of the
FCC Forms 470 and 471. There are no program changes.
