Abstract: HUD has a decentralized approach to FOIA processing, with each of the HUD field offices and HUD FOIA Office in Headquarters processing requests for their own records as the FOIA Requester Service Center and establishing their own FOIA Public Liaison to address any FOIA concerns and questions. The HUD FOIA Office establishes overall policy, procedure, and provides oversight and training to the Headquarters and field offices, ensuring its processes comply with the FOIA’s requirements and HUD regulations.
