Legislation sets forth the authority by which AMS receives offers and awards contracts to distribute, handle, store, and transport agricultural commodities. The data collected assists AMS with making a determination whether a business is viable and capable of supplying product to the Federal government and is a requirement of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
We had and an increase in respondents from 300 to 500 due to additional outreach to get more qualified bidders. There was also an increase in in total hours from 49,416 to 50,399 hours. This increase in hours was due to the increase in respondents or qualified bidders.
