The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing an information collection request (ICR), related specifically to electric generating units (EGUs), for the Supplemental Interstate Transport SIP and FIP Actions for the 2015 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard. The rule amends the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) NOX Ozone Season Group 3 Trading Program addressing seasonal NOX emissions in various states. Under the rule, EGU sources in five additional states (Arizona, Iowa, Kansas, New Mexico, and Tennessee) will join the CSAPR NOX Ozone Season Group 3 Trading Program. EGU sources in Iowa, Kansas, and Tennessee are currently covered by the CSAPR NOX Ozone Season Group 2 Trading Program and would transition to the CSAPR NOX Ozone Season Group 3 Trading Program for the 2025 ozone season. EGU sources in Arizona and New Mexico are not currently covered by a CSAPR trading program would join the Group 3 trading program.
