The information that EPA will collect under this rule fulfills the statutory requirements of 1445(a)(2) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), as amended in 1996, 2018, and 2019. The data describe the source of the water, location, and test results for samples taken from PWSs. The information collected will support EPAs decisions as to whether or not to regulate particular contaminants under the SDWA. Reporting is mandatory. The data are not subject to confidentiality protection.
