Under Title 28, U.S.C., Sect. 534, this collection requests LEOKA data from local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies in order for the FBI UCR Program to serve as the national clearing house for collection and dissemination of data.
US Code:
28 USC 534
Name of Law: Acquisition, Preservation, and Exchange of Identification Records; Appointment of Officials
The FBIâs UCR Program continues the transition to NIBRS; therefore, annual burden hours have decreased, going from 7,552.3 hours to 1,517.6 hours, resulting in an overall decrease of 6,034.7 annual burden hours. The burden hours decreased because many respondent agents completed the transition from SRS to NIBRS, along with the movement of LEOKA assault data collection to NIBRS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
