The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is asking for your help completing the June Area survey, which will aid USDA in determining comprehensive estimates of U.S. land uses and agricultural activities.
A NASS representative will call you to arrange a phone or in-person interview. The interview is estimated to take 20 minutes to complete.
An aerial photo and county section map are enclosed.
• Please keep the map as a reference for your interview.
• The survey includes questions about land uses and your operation within the red boundaries on the map, along with information related to your farm operation, such as total acres operated, grain storage, and livestock inventory.
How will the data be used?
The data from this survey are a critical foundation for several NASS agricultural reports. The information you provide will be used for statistical purposes only. In accordance with federal law, your responses will be kept confidential, and the data will be available in aggregate form only to ensure that no individual producer or operation can be identified.
