Disposal agencies have traditionally sought value for surplus federal properties, and the number of properties made available for inclusion in the Port Conveyance Program has not been robust recently. Due to sunset activities at existing federal properties, it is expected that there will be increased activity in the future, which will make these properties available. It is noted that the properties have trended toward being disposed of through legislative direction, with conveyances through the Port Conveyance Program as a secondary method of transfer from the federal portfolio to the receiving state or local entity. As a result, the total time taken was increased slight by one hour from 572 to 573 respectively. Due to an adjustment in the methodology used to calculate the costs associated with this collection, the total cost was reduced from $ 28,503 to $469.
