("Investment Company Act") and under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78a et seq.) (Securities Exchange Act"). Form N-CSR is to be used for reports under section 30(b)(2) of the Investment Company Act and section 13(a) or 15(d) of the Securities Exchange Act, filed pursuant to rule 30b2-1(a) under the Investment Company Act (17 CFR 270.30b2-1(a)).The information provided on Form N-CSR may be used by the Commission in its regulatory disclosure review, inspection, and policymaking roles.

Short Statement: The annual number of responses to Form N-CSR have decreased from 29,308 to 26,174. The annual time burden has decreased from 228,037 to 202,306. The external cost burden has decreased from $6,129,524 to $5,470,366. The annual cost to the Federal government has decreased from $29 million to $805,577. The reasons for the changes in burden are a result of a decrease in the number of funds, a revision in the method by which staff calculates hourly rates, and a modernization to the methodology used to calculate the cost to the Federal government.
