This information collection request (ICR) is to extend the use of the ECR Application and Vetting System (ECR EAVS) software for another three years of data collection and to increase the burden hours to account for the increase in the number of applications to the program over the last three years.
The Center for Scientific Review (CSR) is the portal for NIH research grant applications and their review for scientific merit. Our mission is to see that NIH grant applications receive fair, independent, expert, and timely reviews â free from inappropriate influences â so NIH can fund the most promising research. To accomplish this goal, Scientific Review Officers (SRO) form review panels consisting of scientists who have the technical and scientific expertise to evaluate the merit of grant applications.
