The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Gateway system collects information from learners (including students, educators, and awardee principal investigators) to register for, apply to, and participate in NASA STEM engagement opportunities such as internships, fellowships, challenges, educator professional development, experiential learning activities, etc., in a single location. The data supports application processing and administration of NASAâs STEM programs.
The annual cost burden to respondents was updated to reflect revised total estimated cost per hour, the annual time burden hours from 54,833 to 105,000; and the updated annual number of responses from 164,500 to 315,000. The change in burden reflects updated hourly wage rates for respondents and the revised number of individuals expected to register for or apply through the NASA STEM Gateway. Federal Government costs increased due to updated contract pricing and direct labor rates associated with ongoing system enhancements.
