This merges the requirements and associated burden related to the Child Nutrition Program Integrity Final Rule approved under OMB Control Number 0584-0610 into this collection. This rule added and amending existing reporting, recordkeeping, and public disclosure requirements for State agencies. FNA requested a new OMB Control Number for these items and they were approved under OMB Control Number 0584-0610.
The National School Lunch Program safeguards the health and well-being of the Nation's children and provides free or reduced-price school lunches to eligible students through subsidies to schools. The National School Lunch Program is administered at the State and school food authority levels and the operations include the submission and approval of applications, the execution of agreements, submission of claims, payment of claims, and program monitoring. 7 CFR sets forth the policies and procedures for the administration of this program.

This information collection is currently approved with 115,935 respondents, 48,035,516 responses, 10,143,277 burden hours, and $21,819,000 in annualized costs. This is a merge request to move the requirements and associated burden related to the Child Nutrition Program Integrity Final Rule. These provisions were approved under OMB Control Number 0584-0610, with 66,217 responses, 146,803 burden hours, and $0 in annualized costs. Incorporating this burden into OMB Control Number 0584-0006 increases the responses by 21,666 and decreases the burden hours by 14,736. It does not affect the total number of respondents or annualized costs. After this merge request is approved, FNA estimates that it will have 115,935 respondents, 48,057,182 responses, 10,128,541 burden hours, and $21,819,000 in costs.
