The purpose of this Generic Data Collection is to: 1) help CDC programs and their recipients develop strong performance measurement systems and practices; 2) define and operationalize priority performance measures; and 3) establish common data collection and reporting expectations. Data will enable the accurate, reliable, uniform and timely submission of recipients' progress.
The scope of the Revision allows for the continuation of data collection for applicable CDC programs with data collection needs that will remain after 2026, as well as new data collections. The overall content and substance of the tool remains unchanged.
