The burden worksheet has been updated to align with Job Corpsâ planned On-Board Strength (OBS). The planned OBS was revised from 37,417 students to 30,000 students. Revisions were also made to the survey script. Five questions related to student demographic information (O1, O2, O3, O4, and O5) were removed, as they duplicated data already collected through the ETA-652 Applicant Data Collection Form (OMB No. 1205-0025, EXPIRATION DATE).
Additionally, three questions regarding the use of tools in academic classes (E14, E25, and F12) were eliminated. These items did not effectively support the surveyâs objective of measuring student satisfaction. Their removal contributes to a reduction in respondent burden. One further item (A1), which asked about studentsâ prior participation in the survey, was also removed. This information can be obtained from existing survey records, and its exclusion further streamlines the instrument. Additionally, all open-ended answer choices were removed for questions E15, E26, F13, G3, G13, I15, and N3. They were originally included to allow students to add information not listed among the options provided. Over time, however, they were used to elaborate on existing choices. Question N4 was deleted for similar reasons. Several questions were updated for clarity or to reflect updates in the program and new questions were added to gather additional information about student support, safety, and the use of artificial intelligence (see descriptions in the table below). Changes made to the English version of the script were also made to the Spanish version.
