SBA is required by statute to administer four small business government contracting programs: the 8(a) Business Development, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Veteran-Owned/Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and Women-Owned/Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business programs. In order to participate in these programs, small businesses must apply to SBA and receive certifications for each program. SBA is proposing revisions to the application for entry to the 8(a) Business Development Program.
