Abstract: To control the spread of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in the United States, APHIS created a cooperative, voluntary Federal-State-private sector CWD Herd Certification Program designed to identify farmed or captive herds infected with CWD and provide for the management of these herds in a way that will reduce the risk of spreading disease.

APHIS has moved the use of the VS forms 10-4 and 1-23 to the New VS Permit information collection, also VS never implemented the testing exemption activity and removed the Private for laboratory disinfection worksheets. Change(s) in estimate due to adjustments in estimate include: There is an adjustment of -7,442 respondents; however, there is an increase of +2,508 responses and a decrease of -105,323 total burden hours
