Abstract: FERC-555 involves FERC's records retention regulations which apply to public utilities and licensees, natural gas pipeline companies, and oil pipeline companies. These records serve as the basis for required rate filings and reports submitted to FERC. The records are retained in order to be reviewed by FERC staff during compliance reviews, audits, special analyses performed as deemed necessary by FERC, and serve as a basis in complaint proceedings. Short Statement: There are no program changes. There are three adjustments to the estimate 1) Incorporating the burden associated with the Project Area Wages Record Retention as part of the overall burden. 2) Adjustments an increase in the number of entities that are required to meet the record keeping requirements (from 509 to 667) as a result of regular fluctuations in the market participants. 3) Removal of costs associated with physical storage recognizing that entities store this information electronically and that the cost of electronic storage is negligible.
