PRESS RELEASE NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL STATISTICS SERVICE United States Department of Agriculture • Washington, DC 20250 Northwest Regional Field Office • Olympia, WA 98507 Ag Statistics Hotline: 1-800-727-9540 • www.nass.usda.gov Posted online December 15, 2022 Regional Contacts Phone: 1-800-435-5883 ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ Email: [email protected] Washington – Dennis Koong, Regional Director Idaho – Ben Johnson, State Statistician Oregon – Dave Losh, State Statistician Alaska – Dennis Koong, Regional Director Special Note No county-level oat data in Idaho was publishable for 2021 or 2022. Refer to https://quickstats.nass.usda.gov/ for State total estimates. NASS prepares and publishes crop annual county data to support the USDA farm programs. The annual county data are based on reports from a sample of farms and ranches. For wheat, barley, and oats, the September Acreage and Production survey is supplemented with a County Agricultural Production survey. It may not be possible to publish information for all counties. NASS adheres to strict publication standards to avoid disclosure of individual operations. A minimum number of reports and/or coverage level must be met for a county’s data to be published. Small grain county estimates are released in early December each year. NASS also releases the data in our Quick Stats searchable database: http://quickstats.nass.usda.gov/ The expected release dates for future 2022 crop county estimates is as follows: Corn for Grain February 24, 2023 USDA, NASS - Northwest Regional Field Office Spring Wheat Area Planted and Harvested for Grain, Yield, and Production, by County — Idaho: 2021-2022 2021 County 1 Acreage 2022 Planted Harvested Yield per acre Production 2 (acres) (acres) Acreage Planted Harvested Yield per acre Production 2 (acres) (acres) (bushels) (1,000 bushels) (bushels) (1,000 bushels) Ada .......................................
