The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is requesting a three-year extension without change for Information Collection Request (ICR) IC# 2132-0008, âNational Transit Database,â which is currently scheduled to expire on August 31, 2026.
The response to the collection is required to obtain or retain a benefit, as statute requires that recipients or beneficiaries of grants from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) under the Urbanized Area Formula Program (§5307) or other than Urbanized Area (Rural) Formula Program (§5311) submit data to the NTD on an annual basis. The entities responding to this information collection are Rural, Urban, and Small/Tribal Transit Systems throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Each respondent submits an annual report to FTA staff and contractors that includes an overview of the transit agency, asset inventory, safety event reporting, asset condition reporting, transit asset management program target reporting, etc.
