Maternal Health Indicators (MHI) Module Specific Feedback
Introduction
AHRQ's Maternal Health Indicators (MHI) measure maternal morbidity, mortality, mental health, substance use, and postpartum outcomes. AHRQ is seeking feedback on the MHI measures and associated documentation.
The MHI measures included in this survey are:
    • MHI 01 - Severe Maternal Morbidity Rate
    • MHI 02 - Severe Maternal Morbidity Plus In-Hospital Mortality Rate
    • MHI 03 - Refined Severe Maternal Morbidity Plus In-Hospital Mortality Rate
    • MHI 04 - Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders at Delivery Rate
    • MHI 05 - Severe Maternal Morbidity Rate Through 42 Days Postpartum
    • MHI 06 - Severe Maternal Morbidity Plus Mortality Rate Through 42 Days Postpartum
    • MHI 07 - Refined Severe Maternal Morbidity Plus Mortality Rate Through 42 Days Postpartum
    • MHI 08 - Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Rate Postpartum Days 1–365
    • MHI 09 - Suicide and Self-Harm Rate Postpartum Days 1–365
