The commission is seeking approval on the revision of IRO-010-6: Reliability Standard IRO-010-6 (Formerly IRO-010-5) is currently located in the FERC-725Z (OMB Control No. 1902-0276) collection. The purpose of the standard is to prevent instability, uncontrolled separation, or cascading outages that adversely impact reliability by ensuring each reliability coordinator has the data and information it needs to plan, monitor and assess the operation of its reliability coordinator area. The category 2 generator owners and operators will now have to meet Requirement R3 that requires the generator owners and generator operators to satisfy the obligations of the documented specifications from the reliability coordinator on data and information needed for the operational planning analyses, real-time monitoring, and real-time assessments.
Due to the revision of IRO-010-5 (now IRO-010-6) the burden increased to 6,752 (increase of 3,273 responses) annual responses and 88,788 (increase of 25,992 burden hours) annual burden hours.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
