Abstract: The electricity surveys collect data from entities involved in the production, transmission, delivery, and sale of electricity, as well as those responsible for maintaining the reliable operation of the power system. These data serve as the primary source of information on the nation’s electric power industry. EIA requests a three-year extension, with changes, to the Electric Power Surveys. The Electric Power Surveys Program collects data through annual, monthly, and daily/hourly surveys, each with its own set (or subset) of respondents to measure activity in specific sectors of the electric power industry. Forms EIA‑860, EIA‑861, and EIA‑923 include monthly data collections, and EIA‑861 also includes a short‑form version (EIA‑861S).
