The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) seeks to collect information that will be used to monitor and manage the cooperative agreements awarded under the Community Compass Technical Assistance and Capacity Building program. The information also is used to assign selected awardees tasks under the cooperative agreement on a TA demand-response basis. The administrative requirements that authorize the collection of this information are contained within 2CFRPart 200, governing grants and cooperative agreements. These regulations address activities and information that must be provided by awardees, as well as those actions that HUD must take, and information HUD must review during the grants management process. This collection is being revised to update the burden hours to reflect an increased number of awardees and to remove all information collected during the application process for the Community Compass Technical Assistance and Capacity Building program. Pre-award information collection for this program will now be covered by HUDâs Generic Solution for Solicitation for Competitive Discretionary Funding Opportunity Announcements (2501-0044).
This submission is a revision to an existing information collection. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) currently uses the information collected under this control number to monitor and manage the cooperative agreements awarded under the Community Compass Technical Assistance and Capacity Building program. In addition to monetary performance, the information is also used to support payment requests from technical assistance providers to HUD for reimbursements of expenses necessary to complete their assigned tasks to meet their strategic goals. Technical assistance providers develop work plans that are submitted to HUD for the applicable program area to which they are providing products and/or services.
This submission is a revision of a currently approved collection. The estimated burden hours have been updated to reflect a larger number of grantees who will be required to report performance data and an associated increase in cost based on the higher burden hours.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
