NASA Visitor Management System

OMB 2700-0165

OMB 2700-0165

The NASA Office of Protective Services is consolidating several visitor management registration processes and transitioning to a one-NASA visitor management system (NVMS). The NVMS is designed to collect information from U.S. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (with an affiliation less than 30-days within a consecutive twelve month period) to register for NASA events. NASA hosts/sponsors numerous events on federally owned/leased property which are open to the public. The events include but are not limited to meetings, conferences, briefings, public outreach activities, tours, focus groups, etc. Visitor access is substantiated by a credentialed NASA sponsor who validates the visitor's need to cross a security perimeter, access a building/area, access a guest networking service, etc. for a specified purpose/event which includes but is not limited to meetings, conferences, STEM activities, general educational events, lectures, etc. Information is collected to validate an individual's identity and gather information relative to the visit purpose/intent. When visitors are permitted to bring equipment and/or materials to include but not limited to booths and displays, information will be collected for the purpose of issuing property passes and coordinating the delivery and removal of associated equipment/property. When visitor parking is provided on government owned/leased property, driver license information as well as vehicle make/model and license plate information will be collected.
