Abstract: THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH ACT OF 1946 AUTHORIZES THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM (NSLP). THE REGULATIONS SET FORTH POLICY FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROGRAM BY STATES & SCHOOL FOOR AUTHORITIES (SFA). REPORTING REQUIREMENTS ENABLE STATES & SFAS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM, OBTAIN FEDERAL FUNDS AND DONATED COMMODITIES.
