Abstract: UNDER THE LMRDA, EACH SURETY COMPANY WHICH ISSURES A BOND REQUIRED BY THE LMRDA OR ERISA MUST FILE A REPORT WITH THE SECRETARY OF LABOR DESCRIBING ITS BONDING EXPERIENCE UNDER THE ACT FOR EVERY YEAR DURING WHICH SUCH A BOND WAS IN FORCE. THESE REPORTS ARE USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE LMRDA REGARDING EMBEZZLEMENT OF UNION FUNDS AND IN REVIEWING BONDING PREMIUMS FOR PLANS COVERED BY ERISA
