THE INFORMATION OBTAINED IS USED IN
THE BUREAU OF MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY'S MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
TO PROVIDE BASIC TO PROGRAM PLANNING, ALLOCATION AND LOCTION OF
FIELD STAFF MEMBERS, AND IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER ELEMENTS OF THE
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM, IS USED TO IDENTIFY THOSE CARRIER
AND SHIPPERS OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SUBJECT TO THE FEDERAL MOTOR
CARRIER SAFETY REGUALTION IN NEED OF COMPLIANCE SURVEYS. (REPORTING
REQUIREMENT
