INDIVIDUAL OR ORGAINZATION HAS MAINTAINED A WILD FREE-ROAMING HORSE
OR BURRO IN THEIR CUSTODY FOR ONE YEAR AND, OBTAINING A CERTIFICATE
FROM A LICENSED VETERNARIAN ON THE ANIMALS HEALTH AND CONDITION,
CAN APPLY FOR OWNERSHIP UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE 1971 WILD HORSE
AND BURRO ACT (P.L. 92-195, AS AMENDED. SOME 64,000 WILD HORSES AND
BURRORS ARE PRESENTLY MANAGED ON THE PUBLIC LANDS. EXCESS ANIMALS
ARE REMOVED ANNUALLY AND PLACE
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
