Abstract: MARGIN IS GENERALLY PAID IN HIGHLY LIQUID TENDER; LOC'S MAY NOT ALWAYS BY READILY CONVERTIBLE TO CASH. THEREFORE, THE USE OF LOC'S AS MARGIN PAYMENT WARRANTS STUDY. INFORMATION ON THE SIZE OF THE FOREIGN FUTURES MARKET WILL PERMIT THE START OF A STUDY ON THE RISKS, OF ANY TO THE PUBLIC IN USING THOSE MARKETS.
