survey can be more representative of the universe. Due to the leng
of time required to complete the review, OMB will allow EEOC an
additional 6 months to provide its report on the practical utility
of the recordkeeping requirements associated with the Uniform
Guidelines. We will accordingly extend the approval period for the
recordkeeping requirements through February 28, 1982. However, EEOC
should be aware that because this will be the third extension of
approval of the recordkeeping requirement, OMB will not be willing
to grant any further extension of approval.

THIS SURVEY IS BEING CONDUCTED IN
RESPONSE TO AN OMB REQUEST FOR A STUDY EVALUATING THE PRACTICAL
UTILITY OF THE RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS OF THE UNIFORM GUIDELINES
ON EMPLOYEE SELECTION PROCEDURE (UGESP). THIS SURVEY IS DESIGNED TO
OBTAIN INFORMATION ON THE RECORDKEEPING PRACTICES OF EMPLOYERS AND
THE IMPACT UGESP HAS HAD ON THOSE PRACTICES.
